Our July 4th was a little different this year...we were at home instead of at the bay. We had a big weekend the weekend before and we were getting ready for another big weekend the weekend after so we chose to stay our butts at home. The girls and daddy fished in the pond and I piddled around the house that morning getting ready for the rehearsal and wedding the upcoming weekend and then we made a last minute game call to have some friends over for dinner. It turned out to be a perfect day!

Mommy and Bennet in on the action too! It was a family affair...and Lissi was out playing too.
We never stocked this pond but you will catch mud cats or perch almost every cast. Most of the time we use wieners but they like worms too. We don't fish to eat but to have fun so we're thrilled there are even fish in there.

Clare will fish all day long, but wants nothing to do with reeling them in so she always hands off the pole.

Bennet fished for a while and then went back to his wheels in the back yard. He could play outside ALL day long...the second you pick him up or show a sign that it's time to go inside he has a fit. I'll post a video of his reaction to coming inside soon. The girls were the same way when they were little and as soon as the door opens, they are out the door. I have to sneak out the bedroom or laundry room door to go outside or let Lissi out if we don't want him outside. Guess it's a good thing but his reaction is not always pretty.

The Grand Canale (aka Finale). Yep that's as good as it got guys...and the spectators were thrilled. We had an easy to please crowd.
And of course the night began, carried through and ended with T-man being the girls fav with piggy back rides, lap time and just lots of TLC.
