Most of the mornings we walked the girls down to camp but this morning they arrived in style! Ok so maybe not in style but chauffeured on our cool bikes.
After we dropped the girls off, William and I headed UP to the lake for a morning of fishing...alone! Gams and Kak had Bennet so we could have some quiet time. We set out on the lake for a little relaxation and fly fishing. It was a bit windy so we didn't have much success but William did catch this big Bluegil/brim. Not really my idea of 'big' but he says so.
Feet up and a big cup of Joe in hand. Bliss.
The time flew by and we had to put the motor in high gear to make it back for our lunch time cooking show. We rode our bikes UP the hill to the restaurant and met the rest of the crew and Bennet for a delicious lunch. As I mentioned in my last post it was supposed to be a demonstration cooking with herbs but since the chef failed to show the day before he offered to cook us lunch with wine. This he did and it was great. He prepared a Surf and Turf with a crab cake over a marinated filet served with asparagus...and Wine. Bennet was being a little rambunctious (I know...hard to imagine...ha) so we ate our lunch on the balcony alone, over looking the lake and golf course. It was rather wonderful.
The chef!
Post lunch we had a wine tasting to attend but just couldn't juggle it all...along with the other things we missed, including beach olympics, swinging trapeze lessons, flower arranging, water sports and the list continues. So we headed back to pick up the girls from camp and made reservations for the blaster boats!
Here we are!
It was war and somehow Daddy got his water squirting button to stick so it was constantly spraying. Not fair!
These little turtles were everywhere. Reminded me of my sweet Brutus that I used to have! RIP Brut!
After the blaster boats, we managed to take the girls on a bike ride back UP the mountain to return the bikes and back down to make the Putting Tournament.
Of course Daddy beat us all but Bennet had his own game!
That's all for our fun filled Thursday. A short and sweet Friday post to come!
