Bikes are a the most popular means of transportation around the resort and all the people that drive in bring their own. Since we chose to fly, it was not an option so we had to rent them. Wednesday morning after we took the girls to camp, we headed up the mountain to rent some bikes. Our selection included two extremely heavy, bouncy and rough ones with child carriers. Let's just say...my butt still hurts! I thought for sure I had enough cushion down there, but it killed my inner butt bones (if those even exists) and it was extremely painful every time I had to get back on the bike.
When we took off, it didn't take Lil Man long to pass out. William and I almost died from laughing as his sweet little head covered in the helmet bobbed from side to side. It was impossible to hold his head and steer with one hand because we were going up and down hills, over bumps and trying to guide the 200 pound bike. It didn't seem to bother him one bit and we had a Cooking Show to get to.
The chef failed to show and after a phone call he rescheduled for the next afternoon and agreed to serve lunch and complimentary wine. We were in and had a change of plans. Kak, Josh, Gams & Pops hopped on the kayaks and we continued our bike ride that ended when our legs just wouldn't go anymore.
The two fabulous looking, expecting parents...
I know Pops was sure wishing Gams was in back to paddle him around ;).
Lil Man wanted to ride with Mommy this time! He was hoping for a smoother ride.
The girls got out of camp and we headed straight to the beach for some Aqua Island.
All geared up and ready to jump....but the girls didn't want anything to do with it. They swam all the way out there and didn't want to budge once they got on the island.
Bam Bam was enjoying our beach in our own private cabana.
Look at this little turkey. His hair is getting blonder by the day!
Playing on the beach was more in their play range! The lake water was so fresh and cold. Man I miss freshwater!
Adde with the Mommy to be...
Daddy doesn't realize that he's a big boy now.
After the beach we ran back to the house, scarfed down dinner and hustled over to conquer the Family Scavenger Hunt in the Vegetable Garden.
Hard at work trying to answer the riddles.
Looking hi and lo.
We went off on our own to tackle the hunt. You might say this team is just a little competitive.
and this team was pretty competitive too!
I think we ended the night pretty quickly as we were all pooped...and it was only Wednesday!
