5 and Fabulous...so they think!

I was hoping 5 years would have taken longer to come than it did, but it's come and gone and the girls are now the big 5. We celebrated their birthday over a long weekend with lots of family, friends and of course presents.  

Beware LONG post with LOTS of pics! Had to cram into one or it would be 2 months before I finished it.

Our first gifts from Granny. They dressed in style for the first round. (Actually Granny just caught them in the middle of a dress up show).  Brandie if you are reading this, YES that is your wedding veil. At least it's being put to good use.  

It didn't take long for B to show up and wonder where his gift was?

Oh it was their dress up clothes for their princess birthday bash. Look at those heels.

On the morning of their birthday, Daddy disappeared and was not home when they woke up. So here they are waiting patiently for him to arrive back home...hoping he had something big and special.  Long story, but needless to say he did have good intentions!  We got them a 'hand me down' big rectangular trampoline and William had it over at the neighbors house so he could clean it and put it back together and then make it appear in our yard on the morning of their birthday. Let's just say the plan didn't work and the girls got to watch Daddy and Pops put it together in the yard later that day. Funny comment Clare made as soon as they saw William turn into the driveway with a load of (looked like junk) in the back of his truck was "oh no it looks like a trampoline and we don't need another one of those". No kidding this was exactly what she said. I died laughing...and it didn't take long for them to LOVE it after it was all put together. 

Now onto the rest of their gifts.

Of course the birthday girls got their favs for breakfast. Powdered Sugar donuts and cream cheese coffee cake. It doesn't get any easier than this!

Now on to get dressed for the birthday party!

Uh oh...look who showed up? Cuz Landon was dressed and ready to go to their birthday party.  We had their party on their actual birthday since it was on a Saturday! It was a Superhero and Princess party so they could have it with one of our good friends who shares his birthday on the same day!

Oh and the tramp minus the net. It took us about a week or two to get it all put together!

Oh and Oh...Gams has been telling the girls for about 3 years that they could open their piggy banks (that she has been filling) when they turned 5. Well it was here. The day to bust em open. Actually they just popped out the stopper on the bottom so they could save up another 5 years worth of money.

They each had just under $300...for some reason one had about $20 more but they agreed to give the other $10 and make it even. Daddy took them to the bank the following Monday to make their big deposit.

Another birthday celebration for Mr. B to come. It's a little short and sweeter. Sorry he's the 3rd child and only turning 2 so doesn't even know what birthday parties are about. Wish I had this much sense as I planned 3 of the girls parties like they were begging for excitement! Slow learner. Yes.
