As a parent have you ever wondered if you should push your kids to play sports? Or have you ever wondered if bribing them to get out on the field and play against their will was ethical? Ok so maybe it's not that bad, but the girls were against playing soccer until they realized Daddy was their coach and he would be there with them the entire time. So then they wanted to play and are excited about every practice until about 5 minutes into it.
Then they would rather do this than play and I have to basically bribe them or push them back onto the field. Maybe that's just 4 year olds...and it doesn't help that Daddy is Coach.
Team Whitecaps!! Coach instructing a warm up!
Jumping Jacks.
Who can hit Coach with the ball? If you get him you get to make him do something silly.
Some words from Coach!
Check out that kick...and that's my nonathletic Adde.
Clare just about to give it a swift kick!
...and back to the Goal post. Bennet would do anything to be out there!
They end practice with a huddle, a Go Whitecaps yell and then a little game of Duck Duck Goose! Yes, Bennet is in the pot!
A little Friday night lights action...well we didn't get to see the lights but a good game for sure. The Ricebirds killed Waller 31 zip I think. We left at halftime after Bennet had dropped everything but himself under the stands.
He's not a pleasant fan and I think I only saw one play!
Until these girls came along and sat behind us and put their shoes on the bleacher. Typically you would nicely ask them to put their feet down, but not this time. I paid them to keep them up there and let Lil Man chew on their shoe and play peekaboo with the girls toes through the holes in her Crocs! This allowed me to watch the game for a whole 5 minutes! Woohoo!
