Memorial Day at the Bay

Memorial Day weekend has been long awaited for because it was our first chance to get down to Rockport for the summer. Life is getting a little more crazy everyday as you can pretty much tell from following our life here on the blog...so we just haven't had a free weekend to hop down there. 

This was Bennet's first trip and he fit right in. We got in late on Friday and of course stopped in at Panjos for some good ole traditional Friday night pizza and cold mug beer! 

Saturday morning we had a family walk/run and then the girls headed straight over to great grandma's (next door) to have a tea party. They were so excited to have tea and cookies and gma had it all ready for them.

Been asked to put on his suit for hot tub time but Anna insisted he just play splish splash in his clothes. 

Here's B with his new favorite toy. It was just the toy we needed and it's been on my list to get in the attic and find. I guess I had taken them to Rockport because they were greased up waiting for Lil Man to arrive. He pulled right up and took off. This 9 monther will be jogging any day!  Yikes...but he's gotta keep up with his sistas.

The girls took a boat ride with Poppa and Anna and then came back to pick us up after Bennet woke up from his nap. 

B's first boat ride. He wasn't a fan of the life jacket as none of them ever are, but as long as he was entertained he loved it!

We had a day of play and then an early dinner at the Yacht Club.

Miss Adde sang Proud to be an American (second video of the previous post). It was so cute to see them up there!

Sunday the girls went to church with great grandma and had a few more tea parties.  Lil Man...and it's actually time to introduce his new name... Bam Bam... banged on everything, ate rocks, pushed his toy through the rocks and just kept Mommy busy chasing.

After the ladies got back from church we took a boat ride over to Port A for lunch. Bam Bam wasn't a fan of the life jacket but I just introduced a bottle to him and he was out for the entire trip. Waves are pretty soothing because he crashed for the trip there and back.

This is a typical shot of the girls when I try to get their picture. I ask them to look at me and one always turns and looks and the other stays looking the other way. 

By the time I finally get the other one to turn around, the other decides to turn back around. So this is what you get. 

Some channel swim time! B's first time in the channel. He liked it but it's always a challenge because they like to lick/sip/drink the water and it's salt water so you have to keep them from doing it. More work than it's worth!

Sunday we had a visit from Uncle Johnny and Aunt Caroline! The kiddos were ecstatic and totally wild for the first couple of hours!

Daddy took them on a bike ride the first morning while mommy ran and then Johnny and Daddy took them the next morning. Daddy needed a little assistance keeping them in line!

And the other fam. Which set of parents do they go with? I'm confused...although it was really easy to figure out when Johnny & Caroline left and they didn't take any of them with them ;)!!
