Santa showed -- Christmas #3

I guess the girls were at least 51% NICE because Santa made a stop at our house and delivered some presents. The girls showed up in our room in the morning and we had to take them into the living room to see if Santa came. Clare was a little freaked out by the whole thing and I'm surprised even went to sleep the night before because she was worried about Santa coming into the house and getting her while she was sleeping. You know after thinking about it and the stories we tell..it does seem a little scary. So we had to give them a pretty big push to go into the living room. We walked in and they immediately jumped on the couch and just stared. After us basically shoving the gifts from Santa into their face and lots of bribing, they finally warmed up and jumped in. Adde really didn't have a problem with it and I think was only hesitant because of Clare's reaction. AND to top it off, they were totally distraught that Elfee wasn't there and didn't return from the North Pole to see what Santa brought them. Elfee, if you are listening, we NEED you to stay one more night next Christmas so we don't have two girls who love you so much get soooo upset when you leave!

Then Daddy showed them the cookies and mess Santa left. Clare was in total shock that he ate them. 

Adde digging in. If you look closely, you can see the part of Santa's suit or beard that got caught in our fireplace screen. Poor Santa.

Adde got her Barbie and Pink Computer. 

Clare got her Blue and Red Lipstick and Blue Computer. Clare was actually asking for 2 Blue Computers, but Santa had to save some for the other good little kids and gave her 1 instead. Who the heck ask for 2 of the items on their list??? Only my kids. She would say I want Red and Blue Lipstick, a Blue Computer and another Blue Computer....not sure who the other was for but I'm sure she had a plan.

Lookie there, Santa gave them some Carhart overalls. Perfect seeing that they were having to wear their others as capris. Just a little short.

And finally Lil Man woke up to see what Santa brought. He was a little surprised by all the goodies as well. 

Santa brought him a little summer hat. 

Gams and Pops spent the night with us and were with us Christmas morning. After opening our Santa presents, we opened gifts from Gams and Pops. 

The girls got their own pair of Joes Jeans. Gams didn't have a clue what these were when she bought them, but now the girls are matching Momma!

After we opened our gifts from Santa, Mommy & Daddy and Gams & Pops, Aunt Kak and Uncle Josh showed up with more loot to open. Oh to be a kid again.

Then the girls gave their fav dog TEX a gift. He got a new frisbee to play catch with. 

That sums up our Christmas morning celebration and next post will be our evening celebration with Poppa and Anna and the Schmermund family.
